I passed on this one when I saw it and am now kicking myself, and will kick self more when I learn it's a monster receiver. :whip:

But I'm sure there's always more deals on the way -- not sure if that's good or bad thing but it's sure alot of fun. :thumbsdn: :thmbsp:

I found a pristine 2285B w/WC-22 cabinet that way for $125 back in February on my CL......:yes:.

Today, a "vintage Marantz reciever (sic!) and turntable - $45" was listed on the same CL - the listing was gone in less than an hour.

We'll see. So far, no word from seller. They say TOTL amp with tuner. I am not sure if that is a receiver or seperates. I am hoping for the later but you never know. I may not even get to see the stuff but crossing fingers and whatever else.

Rick, any news on this one? Hope you hear something.

Don't give up hope - I received a reply this afternoon, after hearing nothing for THREE WEEKS, to a CL listing - the seller had been out of town, go figure. It's a big one to me anyway and I hope to have more on it in a couple of days, don't want to jinx anything now. :thmbsp:

I suppose there could be extenuating (sp) circumstances but I tend to agree with you. Even if there are over a hundred responses. I always respond, it's just common courtesy.
