I saw this listing last night about an hour after it was posted, and I sent an email to the seller. I probably missed, I haven't heard anything (yet).

I hope an AK'r gets - looks like a really nice unit for $50.

Hi Mark, Yeah I think that SX-950 is a nice score for someone - it sure looks nice in the picture. I'm sending good vibes out there but nothing from the seller. Yeah, not sure about the 727 either at 40 WPC I think. I did get a reply that I missed on the Bell tube amplifier that listed (Free!) yesterday. Nice of the seller to send a reply.

Thanks - Yes, that's speaker in the avatar is one of the oiled walnut Speakerlab K's that I have in the bonus basement room with a Sansui 9090DB and Sherwood 7910 providing the juice. I have the utility plywood K's in another basement room, powered by a Sansui G-5000. I was wondering about your new avatar - is that from the Mr. Bill clay-animation on the old Saturday Night Live's from the 70's and 80's "oh noooooo, Mr. Bill" :scratch2:

Nope,He's the original from the old Nancy comic books.My Mum gave me the nickname when I was a wee lad and it stuck ever since.
I was going to say,thats pretty sharp looking for a
plywood model,oiled walnut, very nice.
This morning there was a listing for Lab 3's on CL
I dont know why I keep looking there,I need to make
room here myself for new(to me)gear.
900 square ft Cabin,12 pairs of speakers,oh yeah!
What did you hook up your new RTR to???
And I hope the 7070 gets alittle attention with all the
other bigs boys in the house!

Oh yeah, Shake the Shack with that gear! For some reason the gear has always sounded better whenever I hauled it out in the woods to a cabin. Probably had alot to do with no neighbors nearby to be unhappy about concert level volumes. I have a pair of 3's - my have trashed cabinets but they sound great with the W1208 12" woofers - in fact they were basically the same as SL 4's except they lacked the HT3500 horn tweeter and have a different x-over. They were favorably compared over AR3's at the time. good speakers - worth making room for :thmbsp:

Oh yeah, the 7070 has a place of honor upstairs with the Fortes and the Akai RTR. It's beautiful to look at the 7070 in low or natural light while the Fortes are filling the room up.
