Simple office system allows me to listen to decent sounding music in my home office.
Source: iPhone 3 playing Pandora or iPod Classic
Amplifier: 1979 vintage Yamaha R-2000 receiver, 150 watts per channel
Speakers: Tekton Katz Meow 98 db with Fostex FF-225 (~8") run full range with a bullet tweeter helper (not sure what frequency it's crossed in at)
I was able to get the speakers reasonably well positioned, and with them so close to the wall the bass is really surprising. The iPod dock charges and has a line out so it serves the purpose well.
I rarely listened to music while working because all I had was a pair of litttle computer speakers. Over the past week since I put this up I've been listening non-stop. Why I didn't do this sooner I don't know.
