Secondary TT

I recently sold my Thorens TD 160 Super with SME tonearm because it was being used as a secondary table, and I didn't think getting enough use. I had a Music Hall Classic that wasn't being used and put that in place of it. Big mistake. Even though I onle use it to listen to while Im working, the difference is too much. Trying toi stay cheap so considering A FLUANCE RT85N or PRO-JECT DEBUT CARBON EVO on the new side or have been eying a Heybrook TT2 with Grace 747 Tone Arm . anyone have any thoughts or recommenbdations? Thanks.

I can only encourage you, if at all possible, to audition your options prior to purchase. From everything I've read, the Music Hall Classic should be even better than the RT85 or Debut Carbon EVO. It would be a shame to spend money only to find that what you bought doesn't outperform what you already have.

I guess you will have to look for another Thorens with SME arm. Any one want to loan me $4000.00 so I can go back to a new SME arm for my TD 125?
