Seeking <$300 entry-level tt with classic styling

Hey all,

I recently recovered my vinyl+speakers+receiver from my ex-wife, and I'm looking to buy a turntable to make it all work.

I have a Marantz 2245 receiver, and a set of vintage Pioneer 2-way speakers.

I'd ideally like something with a wood plinth that matches the aesthetic and audio-quality vibe of the rest of the gear. I've been looking at some 1970's pioneer turntables, as well as some more modern entries like U-turn and Teac (https://www.amazon.com/Teac-TN-300S...d=1514742948&sr=1-2&keywords=TEAC+TN-300&th=1).

I know it's not a lot but I'm hoping to spend less than $300, since this will be my first turntable in a while and I'd like to ease back into it. I was wondering if anyone on this forum had anything they're looking to offload that fits the bill. I'm in Oakland, CA and local would be ideal, but I'm flexible.

Pioneer made some nice ones, like the PL-71. You used to be able to find those for $200-$250, but they've gone up a bit in value now and would be out of your budget. The PL-517 might fit the bill, and be in your budget range.

Two things:
1) Welcome to AK!
2) Ask a moderator to move your thread to Bartertown where as a subscriber you can post WTB stuff. Here in the open forums it's a no-no and could get your thread shut down.

Oh, and 3) That table in the SF craigslist looks like a pretty good deal if it's working well. Good luck!
