Seeking Expert Advice on Strange Tweeter Crackling in IMF TLS50 II Speakers Post-Amp Revision

Hello Vintage Audio Enthusiasts,

I hope this message finds you all well. I recently had my QUAD 33/405 amps completely revised, and while I initially didn't notice any issues, upon closer inspection, I've encountered an odd problem with my IMF TLS50 II speakers.

After the amp revision, I've been playing my system at a slightly louder volume than usual, and that's when I started noticing a peculiar crackling noise coming from the tweeters. It's not present at low volumes, but as I turn up the volume, the crackling becomes more apparent.

I'm curious if anyone in this forum has experienced a similar issue or might have insights into what could be causing this problem. Could it be related to the recent amp revision, or is it possible that the increased volume has revealed an underlying issue that was previously unnoticed?

Here are some additional details about my setup:

- Amplifiers: QUAD 33/405 (recently revised)
- Speakers: IMF TLS50 II
- Issue: Crackling noise in tweeters at higher volumes
- Observed: Crackling doesn't occur at low volumes

I'd greatly appreciate any suggestions, advice, or troubleshooting tips you might have. I'm eager to get my system back to its optimal performance and enjoy my music without the distracting crackling.

Thank you in advance for your expertise and assistance!

Best regards,
Theumen
