Very interesting. I wonder if those doors rattle at all?

The general feel I'm getting off of these things is a late 60s vibe.

Date codes are '68, you have a good feeler Sam.

Those cabinets will be quite sturdy, and the hardware looks to be very high quality with strong spring type catches and i expect the jamb that the doors rest against is felt padded. Actually, now that i look at more of the pics, the doors don't jamb at all. they're supported at only 3 points when closed so they might have acheived total silence with them.

My WAG is that those cabinets cost far more to construct than the drivers themselves. That said, i expect production numbers were quite low, and by now few if any remain in that condition. They're like something out of a 1968 time capsule. Outside of the surface finish, i can't see a flaw in the cabs, dig that compound mitered riser.

I saw a pair of those about 15 years ago at Carl Delorean's brothers home here in Michigan, he didn't play them so i don't know how they sounded, they sure looked neat though!!

They are very interesting looking.

His other stuff(scroll-down),looks interesting also. :scratch2:

Yes, dear

Back in the late 60's or early 70's, the WAF must have been off the scale!

The speakers aren't the half of it!

Look up his auction for the matching equipment cabinet complete with an Altec receiver!
