UPDATE: Made deals with both the sellers and I am picking up the Advent /3's ($80) and the 4 EPI 100's ($100). That puts me within my purchasing budget of $200!

I'm off to pick them up tomorrow

That's a fantastic price for even just the Epi's! Lately I've seen nice condition pairs (2 speakers) go for ~$140!

Hi look for a pair of Early 80s Acoustics Research they sell cheaper than the earler models I have a pair of 93a that I bought new

UPDATE: Now that I am feeling better I can give everyone a proper update.

I Have the advent 3s cleaned up and running. They sound real good for such a compact speaker. One of them has a scratchy tweeter though - I think it is done. I found an original replacement tweeter online for $20. I am also pretty sure the crossovers need recapping.

Onto the EPI's. Beautiful cabinets on those... heavy too! The guy I bought them from asked me if I new anything about turntables.. I told him I new a little and he offered me the turntable for $30.

The turntable is an Elac Miricord 425.. Not TOTL but came with an AT12s cartridge with a shibata stylus!

Don't know what shape the stylus is in but a nice little bonus i think.

Once I dig into the EPI's I will post an update.
