I have a pair of sennheiser-hd-475 which have grown painful to use as the fabric on the ear piece has wrinkled
I eased the ear pieces off & discovered the thin foam in the earpiece centre had almost completely disintegrated & crumbled, so I removed all the foam & brushed the crap out.
I then cut out a new foam pad from 12mm thick grey cell packing foam to the shape (with a clear hole for the centre), & simply laid this over the pad & clipped the fabric cover back. The result is wonderful - they are now so comfortable & its like having a new set of phones.
They sound better too.
Spare pads retail about £18 in the UK
