I hope to see you all at my place in May!

Jim

I'm game for another digital vs analog shoot out. I thought they both had their pros and con's. :D

Thanks for hosting Mark. Was a good time! Was also very nice to meet the locals.

it WAS great seeing everyone again, and, for me, it's always nice to have a few hours of listening to good tunes on fine gear without some child under the age of 4 running through the room or screaming in the background!!

That old Bogen sounded great, and it was sort of neat to hear the warm-up process and how it affected the sound(improved dramatically as it went along). Mark's new amp sounded spectacular!

I'd like to do that too, but using a better digital front-end. My SACD player is entry-level.

Nice get together, Mark. Thanks for the hospitality. Good to meet a couple new members of the SEPAAS.

I can't believe I missed this. I don't even live that far away. What I get for havng a hectic life. Maybe next time. :-(

I'm sorry I missed this myself. I'm not sure where it was but I'm 10 min from PA on 95 so I'm guessing I'm in the neighborhood. Please let me know when the next one is. Thanks

Yesterday we had another fun gathering at Blue Shadow's place, with a couple new faces to boot. Great food and drink and even better gear and music. Every time we do this, folks leave with new items on their personal shopping lists, either music or gear or both.

Thanks for hosting, Keith!

good write-up, Mark!! I managed to leave with both a new-to-me tuner, which works very nicely, and two albums for my personal purchase list(that Rosanne Cash was an eye-opener, especially). Good to see everyone, even though I apparently drove all attendees out with Zydeco tunes! I think Keith would have left, but it was his house!

The Zydeco was fine. The issue with that album that drove everyone away was the fact that you did not put it on or hand it to someone earlier in the day. Waiting until quitting time (that time when everyone realizes they need to get home or they will have dinner alone) to play the album just gave us an excuse to mention it. Thain liked it a lot. I enjoyed it and would listen to it again. Maybe next month the the grand Golden Ear Triton II unveiling.

I had heard David Dye's hour interview of Rosanne and John Leventhal on WXPN about her new album and enjoyed the stories and songs she played. David says it is her best album to date. From what I heard, he is right. Thanks for leaving the album, Mark. I'll be playing that some. Great to have new music.

I have the download that came with the LP, so no hurry.

It was great to meet some fellow AKers, quite enjoyable.

I also appreciated the opportunity to get some input on the SSCC I. (SSCC II is in the planning stages.)

Great. Will bring along the Bryston BP-25 preamp and 3B-ST power amp along with the Nova Phenomena phono preamp and AT33R MC cartridge to listen to. I'll toss in some music, as well.
