Service recommendation for Melos Sha-Gold?

Besides the Melos repair group in Vegas, does anyone have a recommendation for repair of this pre-amp, preferably in the Midwest?

The balance control is wacky, being that it doesn't respond very well to the remote, and I'd like to have a tune up for it.
