Servicing Technics SL 1600

Recently got a second hand technics sl 1600 that needed some general maintenance, youtube and this forum have been very helpful! I was able to re grease the tone arm cuing mechanism and clean the pots. Lots of dust build up at well.

I wasn’t sure if there was any benefit/safe to spray some deoxit on the three connectors (motor, power switch and tone arm)? They took some effort to disconnect, not sure if it was supposed to be that way or if the age is playing a factor.

One of the servicing videos a guy was pressing down on the bottom plate to show how the suspension worked. I tried doing it with mine and I have no bounce at all, any ideas?

lastly, one of the screws to the feet was wrong and was being held in by some tape. I’m wondering if there are recommendations for replacements specifically for the sl 1600?

Thank you in advance for any insight!
