Does anybody have an idea what my Setton AS 3300 and TUS 600 might be worth? I'm the original owner and they have not been in service for ~15 years. Physically, they look like new and all knobs and levers work as expected. Last time I used them they were running perfectly. I'm hesitant to power them on because of the age of the capacitors and etc. I have all the original manuals, quality control spec sheets from the factory, advertising literature, sales receipts and etc. These were purchased in 1975.

They are solid state. You can and should power them on so you can accurately represent operating condition and address any minor issues such as noisy controls. Working examples are worth MORE than unknown condition examples. As far as value goes, do your homework. Search ebay completed listings and report back. BTW, asking for value is not exactly the best way to start your time here.
About a grand i'd guess if they are that nice.

That seems high for a nice looking rare 55 watt per channel amp and tuner, must be the meters. eBay sold in France shows 350 for the amp and we all tuners aren't raking it in these days.
I'd guess closer to $650 the pair. But rarity might get more if someone has been wanting those. Nice gear and with the paperwork well sold can get some good money for em.

Just for giggles, I looked at ebay. There is sales history for 3300. Didn't find anything on the 600 tuner but it is not a special unit so prolly around the same value or less. It's that easy.
Not saying he crossed the line by offering for sale. If that is his intent, subscribe and list on B-Town. Or sell on ebay.
Thanks all, I appreciate your input. I should have asked whether they are worthy of being refurbished as it can be quite expensive. In regards to SoCal Sam's response to "power them on", I've heard It's not necessarily good to hard start them at their age. Does anyone have a method to power up old equipment that has not been used for several years? I'd hate to do something that would ruin them. Thanks in advance!

You can make a dim bulb tester and use a low wattage bulb like 25 (appliance lamp) then a 60w then a 100w and this will only allow a lower voltage to reach the unit. Leave each bulb in for a time as this lets the caps reform. Final 100w bulb if it dims then you can go to main power and give em a try.
Read about a dim bulb tester which is use to evaluate electronics but the bulb increases resistance as it glows brighter keeping full power from getting into the unit, saving from more repairs is something is wrong. Lower wattage bulbs lower the max voltage to the unit and just like the 100watt bulb limit current if it glows bright.

I sold a nice TUS 600 tuner several years ago for $450, in good working condition. It's a pretty nice piece actually, some tuner nut or Setton collector will want it. The AS 3300 is slightly less desirable than the larger 5500 but integrated amps tend to do pretty well for value since they can be used for so many different things. I'd say the two are worth $400-$500 apiece to the right buyer.
