I never really thought there would be so many. I just meant that one person who inspires infatuation, fantasy, whatever you may want to call it, for you personally. Like the Jim Morrison example. That guy had a power over many women. I'm a huge fan of female vocalists, with all types of voices. My Julie London collection alone fills nearly half a slot in my Expedit shelves. But the one voice that most makes me wonder what a woman is like on a personal level is Lucinda Williams.

I'm gonna sound like a cretin here. But why is it that once she hooked up with Aaron Neville, she porked out? Maybe it's the scotch talkin' here. Anyway, she's on my list... one that I'd add would be Kate Bush.
 
If I could boost my sex appeal by having a great voice I would choose Jackson Browne's.

I really dig the real honky tonk voice of Kitty Wells. It's sexy in a weird, apron-wearing, scrubbing clothes on a washboard kind of way.

Most of the ones I could think of have already been mentioned, but I'll add one more that hasn't (unless I missed it!)... Lisa Ono. As the name suggests, she is Japanese, but she grew up largely in Brazil, and has a very sexy, heavily Brazilian-influenced singing voice and style.
 
Elvis Costello has to be about the luckiest man alive to have a babe like Diana Krall cooing to him. Yum.

That being said...Linda Ronstadt still makes me weak...and she's still got it. Maybe not quite the range she posessed back in the 70s & 80s...but the tonal quality & breath control is still there in spades.
 
I thought of Kate Bush when I saw this thread- She still sounds sexy. I'm also charmed by the late, great Sandy Denny.
 
I can see we have some Bushmen on the list....I think KB is massively talented, a total package - dancer, choreographer, performance artist, singer, drop dead gorgeous. But it's safe to say she's somewhat of an acquired taste because she's a bit weird for many people's tastes, or they don't like her voice, the shrieking, screeching, etc.

The OP is wondering about Lucinda Williams. Well, I stood 3 feet in front of her at a small venue in Nashville, and watched her suck down drinks, hang all over her manager, and heard her curse like a sailor. She didn't impress me as a person and as a musician, well if that's your bag....
