Sg-9800.. Rg-2.. Sr-303..hook-up

Hi....What is the best way to connect an SG-9800 EQ, RG-2 and a SR-303 reverb units to operate when i want to from any source. I currently have the EQ operating through the Pre Amp Out and Power Amp in Jacks of SA-9800 AMP

I want to be able to turn on the RG-2 and SR-303 from any SOURCE with
the EQ, which is always on.

Do I need a Pioneer U-24 Program selector going through the Pre amp out and Power Amp In jacks of SA-9800 with all these components connected to this.

Cheers..

kinda depends, but I wouldn't stick the rg-2 after the sr-303 reverb unit.

the sr-303 reverb unit feeding the rg-2 would probably drive the rg-2 bat**it...

The other consideration is that you would want to drive the highest signal level possible through the SG-9800 because the SG-9800 will have a higher fixed level background noise.

The rg-2's output and sr-303 reverb's output won't bother the SG-9800's operation.

Line signals (aux, tapes, tuner etc ) are 150 mV, while preamp outs are usually higher at 1/2 to 2 volts.

So the SG-9800 would be #3

The SR-303 would be #2

The RG-2 would be #1

But the biggest question is the unknown - what are they all plugging into?

Pre Amp Out and Power Amp in Jacks of WHAT???????

Thanks for your input markthefixer. Pre Amp Out and Power Amp in Jacks of my
SA-9800 Amp.

Not sure of best hook-up for RG-2 & SR-303 components. Manuals say Either Tape REC/Tape Play or PreAmp out/Power Amp in Jacks on Sa-9800. My EQ uses the Preamp out/Power Amp in jacks.

It appears I can only dedicate the RG-2 & SR-303 to one Source each.

Apart from MTF's excellent assistance, the following thread is what you are looking for:

I concur with the thread. I contributed my comments (Hunt55). I routinely switch out between SA-9800, A-90, A-80, A-70, A-60 and A-40 amps using he same set up but you have and extra Aux 2 with the A-90 and A-80.

The U-24 is not needed unless you have multiple cassette decks or other units (4), three turntables and two aux. ie it is a good switcher similar to any audio store where you switch between units.

But, placing the expander before the reverb is good concept.
