Hi everyone.
I am a proud owner of an Optonica SA 5101 receiver. I have owned this many years but it has been in the loft for around 15 years
Now I have more space I fetched it down and checked it over visually. The standard capacitors looked fine to the eye. I powered it on and it worked for 5 minutes before I head a cracking sound and a puff of smoke through the headphone socket. I lifted the cover off again and a rifa capacitor I believe on the power supply near a couple of fuses had popped. Any idea at identifying this and finding a replacement part?
You can watch a video I made here. At the end of the video I inserted some pictures of the offending part.
Many thanks for your time.
Just to add I managed to read this on the side of the blown rifa cap: pme271m547
On the board itself it says C601.
After more searching can anyone confirm if this would be a suitable replacment: https://www.amazon.co.uk/KEMET-R463F247050N0K-Capacitor-Radial-Leaded/dp/B01BQVAZ10?th=1
