Just got a smart looking Sharp QT-50 Tape deck AM/FM stereo. When I initially tested the radio, the speakers worked fine, sound was good. Then I switched over to the tape deck. The tape advanced at what appeared to be the correct speed but no sound was coming out of the speakers. I checked the buttons on the top of the deck to make sure I hadn't accidentally activated a mute feature. Nothing was muted and I couldn't find any other features that would be preventing the speakers from working with the cassette deck.
Then I tried the headphone jack with the tape deck and the music came through my headphones loud and clear, no issues. The tape sounded good through the headphones. Then I tried unplugging the headphones to see if the cassette sound would come through the speakers, again, nothing doing, no sound. So I was thinking "what the heck", so I went back to the radio function. Guess what. The speakers were no longer working with the radio either but the radio played fine through a set of headphones.
Any ideas what might be going on and how to fix the issue?
Thanks in advance for the help.
