I don't post much but sincerely appreciate everyone's knowledge. I am picking up a Sherwood S-75CP that appears to be a storage archive and very clean. I'm having trouble finding any history on this one, literature and whatever else. I did find a service manual however. I restored an S-7100A and have a 7100, 7210 and 7300 in line. Thank you for any links or data that can be shared!

Posted in tuner forum. Your C-75CP is a receiver. Moving this over to solid state. May get more attention. Tuner forum is for AM/FM section of your receiver. Assume you searched AK, there are a few older threads on this receiver.
 
Your receiver is identical to the S-7910. It’s just a rename that happened right before Sherwood was sold to the Korean company. It’s a solid 60 watt receiver that sounds good. (The 70 watts in advertising was at
1 kHz. 60 wpc it the 20 hz to 20 kHz rated value) Lots of features, so there are lots of controls to clean.

Being a later Japanese build, it doesn’t suffer from the integrated power/volume pot issue. Deoxit won’t hurt the pot.

Excellent info. I just got the service manual in the mail so good fun awaits. Its in great shape externally, time to open it up!

I have the S7910 service manual. It should be identical or nearly so) to what you have. The problem is that it’s too large to upload.
 
Glad to see someone post about the S-75CP. There isn't a lot of information out there other than it's an S-7910 that went through the Sherwood Certified Performance program. During my search I did find these two advertisements that provide a little more advertising info on both the 7910 and the S-75CP. The one trade-off between the two I found is that while the S-75CP was hand tested and performance optimized it does lack the engraved faceplate that the 7910 has.

My S-75CP sees daily use and has been great. I really like the way it looks - to me it's a cross between an SX-1010 and a 2275.

Please post any additional info if you come across anything.

Out of curiosity - how many output transistor (T0-3) are populated on your S-75CP? I was just looking at mine and noticed that there were only 4 discrete output transistors populated. In the 7910/8910 schematic it looks like there should be 8 and I can also see the holes where another 4 could have been populated. I am wondering if perhaps a device change / assembly option may have been another difference between the S-75Cp and S-7910.

Your 75CP looks just like mine... I found a few pictures of various S75-CPs and 7910s which had been up for sale over the years. Both of the S-75CPs pictures I found match mine and yours (so that makes at least 4 units showing only 4 output devices). The two pictures of 7910s match the schematic with 8 output devices. Very interesting... It would be nice to see a schematic or service manual for the S75-CP. Even better it would be fantastic to hear from someone who had first-hand knowledge of the CP program and modifications they did.
