Sherwood S-8900

I have to admit that the left channel power transistors on a Sherwood S-8900 were accidently grounded. The receiver does not have quick acting fuses so you can imagine ghe result. The S-8900 is a very nice and powerful receiver (FM only) that has been a challenge to rebuild but now I need the RCA S356 transistors. The problem is they cannot be found even though the search has been extensive. Any information or support that can be provided is greatly appreciated.
Thanks everyone and have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Upper right corner you will see a Search button. Just tried S356, lots of hits on Sherwood outputs.

A quick glance I found: https://audiokarma.org/forums/index...stor-sourcing-help.695625/page-2#post-9339730

The Often mentioned Onsemi 94 is discussed there. I would review the thread carefully and see if that does work, it likely will.

The 94 is out of stock right now, but a board member sells them at a great price in Bartertown. If you subscribe you can buy them in Bartertown. If you don't want to subscribe you can buy them on Flea Bay - at a bit higher price - from the same person(Peace/Love/Music aka Affinity for Artifacts. These are brand new quality parts, not fakes. I don't know of any other source for legit 94s right now, I think Digikey is supposed to get some within a year from OnSemi.

I could not find a datasheet for the S356 to determine the specs, but depending on your voltage and power requirements, there are alternatives to onsemi mje15094 in the TO-204AA(TO3) package that are in stock at Digikey right now. Select he TO-204AA package, and the in stock selection (in stocking options at the bottom) and it te apply button to see what comes up.

Thank you everyone. I simply love AudioKarma simply because of the conversations and willingness to help no matter the subject in the area of our Electronics interest.
