shootout against Kenwood supreme 600

Hi all.
I'm here to write what my tech was telling me yesterday after a shootout.
He told me he was in love with his supreme 600 since owned it 5 years ago. He had yet to see an amp that would dethrone it.
A few power amps DID sound superior but definitely, they were twice or thrice expensive ones.
So there were around a dozen integrated amps namely:
NAD 3020 series 20
NAD 3140
Luxman L550X
Luxman LV80
Luxman L430
Marantz pm4
Marantz pm 6 ( near dead so no contest)
Sonophone 4020 ( new Zealand made)
Bang Olufsen beocenter 1800 ( broken turntable)
Sansui AU-9500
Sansui AU 907F
Sansui AUD-907X
Sansui au-707 ( 717)
Sansui AU-777D ( not properly tuned up or recapped)

So which ones impressed him the most recently :
Here are the three best ones
After some Tender Love and Care to all the amps .

Marantz PM-80
Sansui AUD-907X

The other honorable mentions :
Luxman 550X
NAD3020
Sonophone 4020

Those that easily outperformed the supreme 600 ( regardless of price) :

Nuvista musical fidelity
Classe 300 watts power amp
Marantz 250 and its vintage pre amp maybe 3200

And the tops :

Pioneer SMC 800 tube amplifier was beyond any solid state he tested.

As of now, he is all praise for the Marantz pm80 ( I'm shocked and have my reservations with that model)
Sansui 907x. Which still is not finished with its restoration but he has been utterly enjoying it ......and it is staying close to supreme in sonic signature with a slight modern touch.
Hope to hear more from him today.

Adios

updates :

He called to tell us that the supreme 600 has now been bested in the bass department by the 907x after doubling and tripling the caps in the power supply section.
The harshness in the mids which was also noticeable in the 907x all this time was also GONE !!!!!
Now SANSUI 907x is number 2, only slightly behind the number 1..... Supreme 600.

The sansui switches need deoxit.
Many black flags are still left to be replaced.
And he tells me the black flags were really offtracked.
