Shopping for Caps and this doesn't look right.

As @painttoad said, these are relative comparisons bases on specific test conditions and measurements. It’s highly likely that the original caps in your Onkyo would not even meet the standard for 1000 hour caps.

Look on this as an opportunity to understand caps better. Visit the manufacturer’s website and find out what 1000 and 3000 hour caps mean. Do the same for a few other caps. That’s how you become an old hand.
 
Amplifier with a goofy left channel that comes and goes.
Eliminate the possibility of an intermittent switch path. (dirty switch)

Could also be a cold/cracked solder connection in the left channel control amp(pre-amp) or power-amp. :thumbsup: If your source was the AM/FM tuner. Then add the tuner to the list.
