Shorted Accuphase P-300

An Accuphase P-300 came to me with a blown power fuse. According to the owner, it was running fine, and it was powered off. After a few days, when he switched it on, there was no power. With the replacement fuse and all boards out, the DBT with a 100-watt bulb is still super bright. With the filter capacitors disconnected, it is still showing a bright DBT. Is the problem in the bridge rectifier?
Any insight will be very helpful.

That happened to me with a McIntosh 2105 and fortunately it was the old bridge diodes (2 of 4 shorted). That would definitely be preferable to a transformer short!

Can you disconnect the rectifier and see if it still lights up? Fingers crossed it doesn't.

I think the power transistors are still connected, so I need to check all of them first. Will do it tomorrow.
