Shure cartridge change for LAB 400?

Hi-I have a LAB 400 and I have put a Shure V15 III on the original headshell. Sounds good to me. However, the original cartridge, a rebadged Shure M75 is gpoing to waste. I also have a Shure M95E has a backup on a second headshell. Should I bother getting a stylus for the M75? If I'm going to spend money, I should probably invest in an extra stylus for the V15. Am I missing something in not using the M75? (I also have a second V15 III and a V15 IV, as well as an M97HE, all on Technics headshells and all in use, so I can't use them on the LAB 400 without switching headshells). Thanks.

In my opinion, you not missing anything if you have the V15. I've owned several M91, M75, M95 and all I keep are the V15 for personal use.

The M95HE was a slight upgrade (hyperelliptical stylus) to the M95ED, which was previously the second best in the line below the V15 Type III. After the V15 Type IV was released in 1978, the M97HE was released using some of the same technology, to become second best behind the Type IV (ignoring the Type III, which was still being sold), and the M95ED was upgraded to become the M95HE, slightly behind the M97HE. So here’s the list, from best to worst, of the pre-V15 Type V cartridges:

V15 Type IV
V15 Type III
M97HE
M95HE
V15 Type II Improved
M91ED or M75ED Type 2 (these have equivalent performance, according to Shure 1979 brochure)
M91E

Bear in mind that all of these were rated either first or second for their respective V15 eras, so all are good cartridges. Here's the best and second best for each era:
V15 Type IV....M97HE
V15 Type III....M95ED
V15 Type II Improved.....M91ED/M75ED Type 2
V15 Type II....M91E
