Shure MQ-50 CD Player (Need Info)

Striving for Polymathdom!
I stopped at GW on the way home today and found this on the shelf.
Its very well built and weighs more than my 80s denon player. There is no digital out. The front is all machine aluminium. Its very solid piece. Here are some pics.

Does anybody have any info on this? I was not able to find anything.

I have a fixed output and a variable. I will check and see if when hooked up to the variable output if it changes the volume

Yea I like the RS-2010. Thats my second one. I tried fixing my first one but no go. I still have it for parts though.

I use a Pioneer PD-4100 CD player through MY RS-2010, dam thing always skips the cd just when it starts to sound good. :scratch2:

I emailed Shure and they replied and told me that they stopped selling them in 88 and they were made by NEC.

So in the ranks of CD players where did NEC stand? It shoulds good, IMO better than me denon DCD-1100.
