Shure RXP3

Bought a Technics SL-QD33 at a thrift a few days ago for cheap. The SL-QD33 is a straight arm that only accepts P mounts. It had a Shure RXP3 cartridge on it, which I don't know much about. While testing the turntable I couldn't believe how good it sounded, and wondered if it's the TT or the cartridge. I have an AT311EP on a universal mount and headshell, so I swapped the RXP3 over and tried it in my main system - sounds very good. Made a good deal even better.

I'm not sure if this is the .2 x .7mil biradial stylus?

Is the stylus grip yellow or beige?

Looks more of a beige color to me, I think the yellow one has 'SHURE' in black letters.

The RXP3 is the Radio Shack clone of the M104E. Has a fine 0.2 x 0.7 mil elliptical diamond. Replacement styli are affordable and not hard to find. Only upgrade is the N110HE Hyperelliptical -originals of that one are very difficult to find and expensive when available.

Shure color codes their styli, at least they used to when there were many to choose from. "Beige" use to indicate a .6 mil conical tip but in your case this apparently dos not apply.

You can use a N97xE or N92E, both of which are currently offered by Shure. You can also get a N104E or N110HE from JICO.

So what I have is the Realistic version, the color of my stylus grip looks like the one in the photo provided by wualta, thanks so much.

I just found it in the Radio Shack 1987 Catalog on page 30.
Cartridge was listed at $39.95, replacement stylus is same as mine listed at $27.95 and shows its replacements for Shure M92E, M99E, M104E.
