Shure SC35C on AR XA?

Hello AK Forum,
I am thinking about installing a Shure SC35C cartridge on my AR XA turntable (early model, Serial# TA 02276, original tonearm).

I have a SC35C installed on my HH Scott 710 with Shure M232 tonearm and like the sound a lot.

Would the SC35C work well on the AR XA or are there good reasons against this combination?

The SC35C tracks between 4 and 5 grams, so it does well in heavy tone-arms. I'm not sure exactly where the AR arm ranks in terms of mass but the SC35C cartridge should come equipped with a 3 gram weight to load up the business end of the tone-arm.

I too like the SC35C but find the stock .7 mil stylus tip to be a little dull sounding in the upper frequencies. The JICO replacement has a .6 mil tip and sounds more natural to my ears. When the SC35C was first introduced in the 1970's it came equipped with a .6 mil stylus tip.
