P1090684.JPG Well I bit the bullet (or got hit by one) and bought a "NEW" VN35E on that flea site. Yea I know dumb me. well it came without the jewel case, but was in the outer box and the seller claims that he got it directly that way from Shure "back in the day" the stylus was in the plastic mounting that attaches to the aluminum base, that's in the case and that he was told that later ones came with the case. Has anyone ever heard this? Now I was born before trucks so it's not like I just fell off the turnip truck ? I just don't believe this at all. So maybe the experts out there know if this is really true.

I hope you got what you paid for. Me, well, I don't really trust many of those selling on that auction site. When it came time to replace the stylus on my V-15IV I bought a Jico SAS. It came from turntable needles. They have a wide selection of VN35 styli. Among them are a Jico VN35E for $41.95. The VN35HE SAS is currently $310.

JICO has discontinued the SAS series and the prices for the remaining ones have just about doubled. The HE series are still available.
