Silk Audio SE Output Transformers

Hi there,I tried this post in DIY the other day but thought maybe here could be better. Does anyone here have any experience with Silk Audio Output Transformers? I'm about to start on a 300B project and have been offered a set of output transformers that will work with it. They seem to have a good reputation but would like to know of anyone else's experience with them. Sonically speaking mainly.

No -- but I do have a pair of their SUTs and they're quite fine (i.e., well made & sound very good). In other words, just another reputation datapoint -- but I reckon their OPTs would be a reasonable risk unless they're outrageously expensive (which I doubt they are).

They are inexpensive in the scheme of things. Well, these ones anyway. I think I'm going to go with them, worst can happen I sell them on.

There was a fellow building 6V6 PP amps for sale with Silk ones and really liked them. There are threads on diyaudio about Poinz's "Musical Machine" if you want to read opinions (positive) on others that used them also.

I got a pair of single ended of 3K primary, but i have not used them yet. They are very nicely made if that is any indication of the sound quality. Since they are made over seas they are well regarded in the orient. Mine are potted and i am thinking of using them for a nice chassis. Hopefully , i will have time for that build soon. So many projects , so little time. cheers.
