I typically restore higher end audio but found this Silvertone upper section for $7 and couldn’t resist.
It’s all in great shape, so was thinking of oiling up the mahogany cabinet, and quickly rewiring the tonearm and throwing in a cheap Stanton 500.
Does anyone have any info / thoughts on the turntable and on the amp?
I want to upgrade the amp outputs but am unsure one first glance if it’s mono or stereo? There is a speaker output and aux speaker output I’m going to quickly convert over to a normal wire jack, but is it left and right or two monos?
I’m assuming the turntable plugs into the two input jacks on the right side?
And finally, unsure what that top left RCA jack is for. Any info on this is greatly appreciated.
It won’t be a huge restore, just replace caps and power cord to make it safe, and a quick line and calibration of the turntable (I assume it’s idler)
