Silvertone EL84 Amplifier, bypassing tuner socket help...

Removed a 528.69140 Silvertone amp from a beat up console...
I am going to use it as a stand alone amp, have new caps, etc...
I clipped out the plastic connector for the tuner, and not sure if I can just eliminate the 100uf Capacitor C71?
It looks like it's only needed for the tuner, but not sure... anyone know?

Yeah, that's just for the tuner. It can be removed if you're only using the amp section.

The cap and the resistor going to it can both go away. Neither will do anything without the tuner there.

If the 285v source ends up too high, you may need to bump the value of R86 (?) the 4.7k 2w resistor feeding into the cap.
