Sl-1800mk2

I've finally been able to setup my equipment and start listening to my vinyl again and I'm at the point where I want to start tweaking things and I have an embarrassing question. Are the feet on an 1800MK2 adjustable? Mine maybe stuck from sitting or just tight and I don't want to force something that doesn't turn.

I'm also curious if anyone has ever had this style technics tonearm track successfully below 1 gram? I'm using a V-15 III and just set it for 1 gram assuming it would never do .75 like my previous SME arm could. Perhaps a poor assumption? I'm using an SFG-2 scale.

If anyone has a PDF of the service or owners manual it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Chris J

no the feet are permanent part of the suspension.

Ya I've tracked mine once at 1 gram but felt better and it sounded better tracking at 1.25, for many cartridges.

There is no simple adjustment for leveling, it's generally done with shims under the feet ensuring the base is not "torqued"/ twisted.

grab the manual for the SL-1600 II over on the engine. The 16 is the full auto version of the 18. Should help.
