SL1700mk2, i need pics of the footers

Zodia

Super Member
So, basicaly i need that a helpfull AK'er take some pics of the footers on his sl1700mk2: so that i can make some for my 1700.
When i got her she came barefooted, err...footless. and i already put too much money into it ( so looking on fleabay is out of the question)so i am trying to go the cheap way and make my own, the manual shows the footers, but you really can't get a really good sense of size by the drawn pics.
Any help at all would be appreciated.

I'll see about tearing mine down and taking some pictures for you. The length of the screw is different from front to back

I remember a couple of threads in the past three or four months where they have showed feet made from parts collected from Lowes/Home Depot that looked really good.

Maybe a search would turn something up that you could use. Preston

That would be fantastic, thank you.

yeah I seen that, as a matter of fact i have it bookmarked, but I just want a size reference, like how high should they be, and how wide, you know, just being picky about it.

I can take some good pictures of mine (they are in a bag) when I get home. They are pretty basic.

I've got the ticket...

I just got done putting a 1700 mk2 back together, and another member was kind enough to provide me a missing foot... which just arrived today. Here are some pics along with some dimensions...

2 back feet have short screws, 2 front feet have longer screws. The pics are for one of the front feet.

The feet screw through the white plastic suspension supports and into the aluminimum plinth, clamping the white plastic pieces to the plinth and allow the suspension to work correctly.

Note, Dimensions are in millimeters

Replacement feet for Technics tt's are available at KAB-USA.
Yup I know, but I only see the footers for the 1200.

That's awesome thanks a bunch.

John.

There are some technics model series that may infact use the same or similar feet, but the 1200 footer is competely different from the 1700, 1200 being a one piece footer and the 1700 is two piece.
How can i sure, i have a complete set of 1200 footers that i tried and it won't fit.

Pics of feet.

As promised some pics of feet. Can't hurt to have more. Notice the length difference in the screws. I think a little rubber (maybe and O-ring) between the halves couldn't hurt.
