Sl3300 to electrohome solide state?

hi
I want to know what i have to do
To hear something went i plug my technics sl3300 in my tape input on my old electrohome consol if it possible.
I think i will need a phono pre am
And i tried the phono input and its almost the same things just a little sound on the left speaker??!
