Slider control knobs - Onkyo A44 - can anyone help?

Hello,

I am currently renovating an Onkyo A-44 Amplifier which has a small graphic equalizer panel with sliders rather than conventional rotary tone controls.

One of the slider knobs has been lost and I need help finding a source or perhaps hopeful that someone out there has a similar one in their "junk" box and is prepared to part with it!

The size is the important issue and I have shown dimensions on the attached pictures. Whilst it would be best to have the identical appearance this is not as important as there are 5 bands in the equalizer and I could put the "odd" knob on the centre band (1000Hz) without it looking too odd. Alternatively if I could find 5 knobs I could replace them all!

Any help would be appreciated

g'day mate.

edit out.. thought I found a set on the bay but wrong slot.
well maybe.. email the seller?

Thanks for that - never saw those in my ebay searches. I will email the seller for slot details and ask if postage price can be reduced :scratch2:

It maybe that I can modify the slot or the spigots to suit

I just get lucky sometimes.. Always willing to help you down under mates as you have a lot of interesting stuff and a rich history of audio and electronics companies.

I now have the slot dimensions (4.14mm x 2.21mm) and whilst not correct I think I can improvise. Also a mistake had been made on the postage - was $45 now $7... so I will order once I have finished the electronic part of the renovation - I still have one troublesome channel to fix!

And yes, Australia is not a bad place for audio stuff although if we want vintage stuff from the US or Europe the shipping costs often make it uneconomic.

Thanks again
