Small Advent vs. Infinity Qe: which to keep?

Which to keep? I have been using a pair of Small Advents I picked up in about a year ago for $10.00. I had to refoam them, but once refoamed have worked beautifully. Today a came across a pair of Infinity Qe speakers for $5.00 in rather nice condition. The surrounds look pristine, and cosmetically in better condition than the Small Advents. Both sound very good, but have suble differences which I cannot explain. I am currently using a Sansui 5000X for the receiver. Anyone care to offer any suggestions? Thanks!

At those prices, keep both for now. Switch 'em around once in a while. Over time you'll get to like one over the other.

Seems both are well thought of, if you just don't want the extra set keep the nicer ones and send me the others. I know what you mean my closet looks like a jig saw puzzle stacked with small speakers I want to keep.

Well, thanks for the advice. I am trying to cut down on my speaker addiction! So far I have these two, and a pair of KLH model 17s in excellent condition and a pair of Allied Knight KN-2300a speakers from the late 60's. In addition I have several bookshelf size pairs that I have been "tweeking" just for fun.

I may get rid of the Allied speakers, but the KLH 17s are staying with me!

Oh, I forgot ZI also have a pair of Fisher XP-7s and Realistic Nova 8s. I really need to get rid of those, but I hate to ship speakers that big!

Stack the Infinitys on top of the Advents and wire in parallel to see if you might get a complementary effect. The Advents have great bass but the Infinitys have better tweeters.
