Howdy,
I've always liked the sound of efficient speakers and low watt tube amps. A few years back I sold my long-enjoyed pair of Klipsch Heresy (haters please refrain from posting). I admit, I miss the system but parted with it mostly due to size. I live in the city, in an apartment. I've been interested in Zu and other high-efficiency speakers that can be driven on small tube amps with few watts. So...
Any recommendations on components and speakers that are small in size? Are there highly efficient bookshelf speakers? I've become fond of the bookshelf w/ separate sub woofer combination. Let's start with speakers and then move to amplification, etc!
Any ideas? Anyone else have a small high efficiency system? If so what is yours composed of?
