SMSL SU-8 Impressions/Review (And Modi Multibit Admonishment)

I am looking to use this DAC with my Yamaha A-S2100. Do you guys know if the preamp can be disabled on the SMSL? Or I would just set the volume on the SMSL to 100% and leave it there? Thank you
