Snake Oil Products

Do you know any audio equipment or accessories that can be categorized as "Snake Oil"? It can be some meter-long interconnects that cost over 3 digits, or some tungsten carbide boards or spikes that are costlier than your branded power amp, or even some cheap but useless product that claims to enhance the sound but it doesn't. If you know of any, please share here, and better: tell us some practical alternatives that work equally well but just cost a fraction of those snake oil stuff.
