So... is it time for a MA/NH AK get-together?

I've been noticing that there are more than a few regular AK posters who are in MA and/or NH. Perhaps we should organize a "northern New England", or "mid-New England", or "Boston-area" AK get-together before the weather gets good again?

Thoughts?

Set 'er up, let's get it done! I'll travel and I even have a relative down there or 2.
Maybe I can drag Pioneer727 out of his lair for the trip too.

I'd love to meet some fellow AKers. I'm in Abington, Mass, but can make most t-accessible Boston locations. I currently can't drive and am in a wheelchair due an automotive accident, but am pretty mobile otherwise. I'd really like to meet some of my fellow AKers, let me know if there's anything I can do (phonecalls, directions, planning) to help organize an event. I lived in Boston for many years and know Boston, Allston/Brighton, Cambridge, and parts of J.P. very well if you plan on meeting at a restaurant or the like.

cheers,

paul

mhardy;

I'm in CT, I think we should wait until spring and all meet you at that dump "where you find the good stuff"

I can convince a friend of mine to haul me to CT for a day (unless his wife is called into service to Germany by then). I'm up for spring or winter get-togethers, or both, and also know the good Goodwill, Salvation Army, and thrifts in the boston area if you guys want to go a-huntin'...

The Brookline community kicks out some high-end gear to the curb, being a wealthy community with some nice quality tastes. Unfortunately, the gigantic Salvation Army in Allston where the shelves were always lined was pushed out due to increased rent a little over a year ago. That always had its shelves lined, both junk and good stuff.

And I know some cute waitresses and bartenders around the area too. always a bonus.

Might find out some of us were the other guy scoping electronics and records at different S/A's and good wills.

uhhh... I was kinda thinking of offering our humble abode... I like to think of us as "centrally located"... minutes from the I-495/MA rte 2 interchange :-)

Consider me in, schedule allowing.

I'd be interested. Another chance to hear your system! And others!

I can make CT by way of Metro-North, and if someone brought a case or two of Moxie, you may even see me smile!

Yes.

Just give me 2 weeks notice and, provided it's not on feb. 4th, I'll be there.

Who cares about the weather, as long as the roads ain't icy, it's all good by me.

I'd love to meet local AK'ers... midwinter is good social time.

Who wants to show off their listening room(s)? :)

I am thinking of the Sunday after MA's Feb. school break week... the Sunday before that (Feb. 9) is the big antique radio fleamarket in Westford, MA. That could work for me, too, if some of y'all wanted to go there, then schlepp over to my house. I'm about 15 minutes away from the Westford Regency.

I'm flexible to what ever you decide to do. At this time it looks like a bad snow would be the only interference.
