Agreed, I can't imagine using those speakers seriously with that unit. I could understand using the other unit as a cd player out of convienance. Out of curiosity, wouldn't that reciever probably over-whelm the speakers, wattage wise?, most little units like that have about 20watt rated speakers:scratch2:

I know youtube quality through a camcorder isn't great, but that's still not sounding good.

Edit; I will say though that there is worse music, not my favorite, but to each his own...is weird to hear it through an amp that looks like that, but if I had a unit like that i'd probably still listen to metal

Hey lets not rag on people musical choices, I'd wager there are plenty of people on here that would cringe if I posted a video of my Sansui 9090DB and AR9LSi's rockin' to the CRÜE (which they are...right now ). All I see in this video is some one that is on the right track but could possibly use a little more guidance that or he's still looking for the right speakers and source. We all don't have deep pockets.

That comment was only 8 hours ago, after this was posted. However, it's good to know he's looking for something better. If he was just testing the amp, the little speakers would do the job:yes:.

And I agree that the song isn't that bad, not my favorite (even by the band) but not bad.

The music is a personal choice and I'll not comment. The comments say he got them from his dad. I certainly hope he can appreciate just how great a "core system" he has there and takes his time in getting the rest of the system up to the quality of the pre/amp.

Everybody starts somewhere. It ain't like everybody here is running perfect systems, either...we're all doing the best we can at the moment, just like this kid. He sounds like a decent guy in his comments and admits the limits of his knowledge about audio. That's a good sign right there.
