After more than 20 years of owning my pizza place I've had enough. Too old for the hours, the heat, and the stress of wearing every hat. I'll begin a second career in a few months but for now it's a much needed rest and physical/mental healing. Good thing I have plenty of books and music that still need to be enjoyed.

Congratulations on the 20 years of hard work and being able to walk away when it was time.

Best wishes for a well-deserved slow-down and rest and then a successful transition to something that you find fulfilling.

What kind of a Philistine would put meatballs on a pizza? Probably the same guy who'd then eat it with a knife and fork.

Congrats, Prisoners!

Awesome - Kick back and play some tunes for a bit -
sounds like a VERY well earned rest!

No Limburger - I'm a purist. Congrats, by the way, prisoners - enjoy your break and new beginning

I was involved in the foodservice/hospitality business for over twenty years, and I'll always remember something an owner once told me years ago:

"The two happiest days in a career in hospitality are the day you opened and the day you sold the business".:D

Enjoy the freedom!

Happy trails,
Larry B.

OP:

Congratulations on your first retirement. I am a business owner and I understand the demands.

You have earned a rest. I hope you get to enjoy yourself a bit, and that the future will continue to bring you enjoyment and relaxation.

I opened my business in 1981, and now have the shop, home, and property up for sale. Once it's gone, I'll off the remainder of my inventory on EB, which could take 5-10 years.

Congrats on the sale and consequent temporary semi-retirement!!
