Well I picked up a Kenwood KR 7600, and a Pioneer Elite CLD-31 today for $30. :smoke:
Haven't tested them yet. The Laserdisc player did not have a remote. Nice cosmetics. Just need a good cleaning. I was more interested in the Laserdisc player.

WOW! How do all y'all find all the LD players! never seen one at GW ever, in three years of looking.

I wanted to add that I was not beating on the Kenwood. The first nice stuff I ever used was Kenwood. I just have so much of this stuff, and finding a LDP is rather unusual. Especially a Pioneer Elite Model. Apparently I missed out on a very nice Pioneer Digital TT. But the Clerk said it was a 7 Something? And I know it wasn't the PL 71. I have one and it is not digital. As far as a TT goes I am still looking for a nice 3 Speed. Eventually.

There use to be an Audio/Video Retailer less than 200 Feet from the thrift where I found it. I remember them selling this unit for about $800 when new in the early 90's. I am certain that this unit came from that store.
As far as finding one of these, I have never seen one in two years so it might take a while to find one. But when you least expect it, you will. :thmbsp:

Well just stopped into the local thrift that I picked this stuff up in yesterday. And the clerk had the remote for the Pioneer Elite CLD-31. Had it in an envelope with my name on it. Now I am very happy.

In my many years of thrifting, I've only seen ONE laserdisc player that was broken beyond repair. No power, no remote, etc. But for $15 I figured this unit could be a donor part. I recycled the M-holder to another unit I had. The rest of the unit, I parted the laser pickup, tray, etc. and now it lives forever in other LD players!

10 years ago I saw them often. Now the goods ones are selling. I remember a good player was about $800-1200 in the early 90's.
They had little collector value, or demand, and since covid they are are popular. I need to sell mine......
