Picked up a pair of W35's a little while back and with all the research I've done, I cannot find a consistent value. I understand the legacy of the quadraphonic systems and the historical impact that Wharfedale has had, but I am struggling to find a comparison in more modern terms.

There is also the British equipment forum. There is a Warfedale thread.
Those will probably need the caps replaced. The caps in the W-90's I had drifted and one was pretty dried out. Also there may be some build up of white corrosion on the pots and woofer magnets. I used a damp cloth to catch it all. It can cake up pretty thick. It may be cadmium? So don't breath it in, wash your hands after and don't use a vacume cleaner.

Can't imagine theyre worth much, old wharfedales are worth very little even here in the UK.

I have passed on them several times over the years. Haven't seen any in a while. $150 maybe in this current market?
 
I bought a pair of W40D’s in great shape a few years back for $50 … sonically a steal and fun in rotation.
I need more speakers less than another hole in my head, but I’d still be tempted by a good deal on 70’s or 90’s.:crazy:

I sold my W-90's for what I paid for them. A whopping $100. They were gone in a couple days. They were in decent shape too. I just didn't have the room for them.

Sorry, I should have been more clear to start.

I am trying to understand what I could get for these speakers un the current market, or potentially what would be worth about the same to trade for.

I apologize for the confusing wording I'm still new to AK and I'm not trying to get in trouble. :no:
 
I checked Ebay's prior sales......which doesn't have much history these days.

Couldn't find any prior sales....so don't know how much they sell for.
