Hello, I am new to this forum so I apologize if this is the wrong place to post this.
I just bought a used Technics RS-B78R, and it is a HUGE improvement from my newer Kenwood deck. I plugged it in, and all the lights turn on and everything, and the belt in the back appears fine; but when i press play, the heads move up, touch the tape, and go straight back down or it reverses and then goes back down. The fast forward and rewind work, but it just keeps having that problem. I held the play button and pressed another button (Don't remember what it was), and it just kept reversing the head for about five minutes and then went back down. Please help

EDIT: I now thought I fixed it, the belt fell off and so i put it back on. Unfortunately it fell off again, so I put it back on again, and now it is back to the original problem.
