**Something very odd **

So I have a marantz 2245 in vary good condition and sounds great.
No issues with sound and different channel.
Now I just noticed this when I'm on aux with volume nob at zero turned all the way off I get a vary quiet fm station coming from my speakers I was up close ( ear right to my tweeter ) inspecting the sound.
I noticed that it goes away in phono but tape and aux I can hear it slightly vary vary quiet.
When I start to turn up volume i can hear both at super low volume playing at the same time but once I turn it mm it goes away or at least get over powered by the song playing on my laptop.

Has anyone ever had this issue which obviously is a symptom of something else happening electronically.

Is the FM station you are hearing the same station the FM tuner is set to? I think all of the tuner boards are still powered when the Selector switch is on Aux or Tape.
I'm not sure how much cross talk between sources is typical on a 2245.
 
Some receivers cut power to the AM/FM sections when they're not selected to avoid that. If you have something of low impedance (or shorting plugs) in the AUX or TAPE, the slight feed-thru might go away.

Thanks I just didnt know if there was something wrong mind you I would have never noticed if I wasn't inspecting for crackling at low volume.

I just didn't understand what was happening or causing it. Thanks for your input runningdog
