Hey Guys/Gals,
The most basic of introductions:
1. I love music -- most genres
2. My ears are good, but probably not good enough to justify what I spend to listen to music
3. My music tastes change with the wind, sometimes more
4. I just invested in my first TT, and I am enjoying the "back to basics" feel of the music. It reminds me why I always loved albums rather than tracks, and also why I loved listening to specific artists more than others as a kid. My family's receiver setup always encouraged starting a tape or CD and not getting up to change it after a specific song. We weren't a "radio" family, really, so I mostly enjoyed artists whose albums were good from start to finish
5. I've always invested heavily (relative term, since I purchased my first bedroom receiver as a 14-year-old with money from his first job at an ice cream shop) in sound equipment but didn't realize until recently how much the format could change the sound (with the exception of always feeling like tape audio tape was a weak medium)
I've been perusing the forum for a few days, and I look forward to being a member of a forum where people seem so open to helping one another. You've fostered a great culture, and I hope to live up to that standard.
