Are they sitting on a Sony stands ? first time I've seen the sony SE-900 ultra rare gem !!! definitely this one of the best hifi in the globe !

Hi Max.

I had the special stand made and painted by a cabinet maker.

I also have the ultra rare wooden TAC90 and 91 esprit sleeves all boxed and new.

I would like a Sony PSX9 turntable.

Nice setup, I do like Sony’s limited series gear. I have had the full Esprit system a couple times, my APM-6 had the factory stands. They’re metal and the cutout platform on the base of the speaker sits on a ledge on the inner edge of the stand.

Currently I have Sony R1 mono amps.

Wow...really interesting story regarding getting a pair of Sony APM6 speakers.

I spent many years searching for a pair of APM 6, I was very lucky and bought a complete new old stock Sony Esprit system 3 years ago.

The speaker foam was perished but I have a friend who is one of the best hifi engineers in the UK and he spent 2 weeks rebuilding the bass units.

I already had a large collection of Sony Esprit equipment.

I think I must have one of the only original boxed Sony APM6 in the world.

The full Sony Esprit system sounds incredible, the quality of the original Esprit equipment could not be replicated today at any price!

Great to see and what a rarity to find an entire new old stock system…. Michael Sykes and Lawrence Werth set up Sony Esprit in the UK based in the Shepperton Studio - Michael was and remains a very good friend of mine. I have a TA-E900, some rather bashed up TA-N900s (one of which just died) and toying with a pair of AMP-6s I’ve found in amazing condition. I’d love to find some new front panels for the TA-N900; set up a search alert on hifishark. Any advice on engineers capable of restoring Sony Esprit in the UK is very welcome. I run all this lot into a pair of B&W 801 Type F.
