My Sony PS X 600 bio tracer just developed a fatal? flaw...the tonearm rockets across the vinyl all the way to the spindle...It ruined my stylus...it was working flawlessly for years before turning it on the other morning and have this (see short video) happen....has anyone ever seen this behavior and does anyone have any thoughts on how to attack this problem....thanks in advance for any suggestions...ps...I am trying to upload a MOV file showing this action ...its very small but I cannot upload it for some reason but if you paste the link it will come up

Just watched the video.......ouch.

Service manual is on Vinylengine.com.
Must register to download but it's quick/easy and safe. They don't sell your info or spam you.

Hope this helps

Thanks Wiz...I remember subscribing in the past via paypal and I was never upgraded to subscriber status..will try again this week...as far as the table...the micro processors in these tables seem to turn off any potential "locals" with any vintage repair backgrounds...before I take the plunge myself, I wanted to float this problem with the very knowledgeable peps at AK and see if I could get any feedback

You may want to try your post in the turntables section of AK ?

There is no cost to register at Vinylengine.

Did you mean you attempted to subscribe here at AK ?
Not sure if things have changed but previously it was fairly easy to "Donate to AK" when trying to become an actual "Subscriber", two entirely different actions.
If that was the case, or if you ever have any issues like that, the moderators here are great and always helpful in situations like that.
