SONY BIO PS X600 TONEARM PROBLEM..EVER SEEN THIS ONE?

My Sony PS X 600 bio tracer just developed a fatal? flaw...the tonearm rockets across the vinyl all the way to the spindle...It ruined my stylus...it was working flawlessly for years before turning it on the other morning and have this (see short video) happen....has anyone ever seen this behavior and does anyone have any thoughts on how to attack this problem....thanks in advance for any suggestions...ps...I am trying to upload a MOV file showing this action ...its very small but I cannot upload it for some reason but if you paste the link it will come up

This is a complicated turntable and you'll need to familiarize your self with the service manual.

The horizontal tonearm drive is entirely under electronic control and there could be multiple causes for the issue you are experiencing. What skill level do you have with electronics?
