So, the other day while at a thrift shop I finally happened upon a remote control for my Sony CDP-707esd. It was only $10, but it was taped to a CDP-C15ESD 10 disk cartridge changer. I hurried home and tried my new remote on the 707... and BOOM! ...it worked. So, now I have a clean C15 just sitting here. I turned it on and found that it worked, but the changer elevator mechanism is super loud.
Does anyone have any experience with this kind of repair? I looked here, on Google, and Youtube... Slim pickins on info for this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
